Erehwon Center for the Arts
is a fully functioning, creative community center dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for artists at many levels, from visual arts, performing arts, music, publications, and film.
It also works to encourage participation in the arts through advocacy, education, and outreach, as well as cultural exchange and cooperation events, to make art accessible to as many people as possible, from all walks of life. This has given it a reputation as a People’s Art Center.
Because of its extensive involvement in promoting an appreciation and love for learning in arts and culture among young students and communities, the corporation became one of the Outstanding Citizens of Quezon City in 2018, meriting the Quezon City Government’s highest form of honor, the Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal Award. In 2024, Erehwon Center for the Arts and its founder, Rafael R. Benitez, were recognized for their significant contributions to art and culture, through the Golden Leaf Presidential Awards.
The Center houses an art gallery, an atelier, a dance studio, a blackbox theater, an artists-in-residence facility, workshop, and office spaces, as well as a grand outdoor theater performance stage. Within its facility is a state-of-the-art, full-color, commercial printing press.
The Center is the home of the Erehwon Artworld Corporation and the Erehwon Arts Foundation.
